A Sudden Movement by Becci Norris

A Sudden Movement

By Becci Norris

Introduction

A long time ago, probably in Tudor times, there was a boy called Timmy. Now Timmy was an ordinary boy who lived up top. Only the rich people lived underground, they say the air is better and it's safer under there.

Today Timmy was bored, he couldn't play outside because it was tremendously stormy weather. Timmy had 2 sisters and lived with his mother. His mother was 37 years old and was called Mary. Timmy's mum was great apart from the fact that she had a dog that always wee'd on him! Timmy was 9 years old and loved adventure story's, everyday he would come up with a new one, well almost every day but his favourite one was when he had to escape from some dinosaurs in 10 minutes flat! He longed for this story to come true some day…

Chapter 1 - Lightening

Timmy thought it was better outside now so he went to play out. Unfortunately for him it wasn't and he got struck with a lightening bolt and fainted…

When he woke up he was in the prehistoric ages with dinosaurs ! He was the only one there, but then he realised he was being licked by Floss (his mum's dog). The suddenly Floss started rapping! "My name's not Floss, oh yeah, oh yeah. My name is Flo Rida!" It didn't take Timmy long to realise that he was in one of the stories that he had made… which meant he only had 10 minutes left to escape from the dinosaurs! But there was no sign  of any dinosaurs anywhere!

ROAR!

"oh no!" said Timmy!

Chapter 2 - 10 Minutes Left

Timmy grabbed Floss aka Flo Rida and ran to the waterfall which was just through the forest. I'd better hurry up Timmy thought otherwise the dinosaur will get me and eat me all up! When Timmy got to the waterfall he found a huge rock and hid behind it. Because Floss was obsessed with rapping he started scribbling in his notepad, his pencil snapped just as the dinosaur arrived and he started heading towards them!

The dinosaur was tall and thin with huge spikes on his back. He had massive teeth with bloodshot eyes.

Chapter 3 - 9 Minutes Left

Just be very still Timmy thought. Timmy was learning about dinosaurs at school and he knew that he could only see you if you were moving. So the dinosaur went in another direction. "We need to get to the cave!" Timmy whispered to Floss, "that's were the crystal is to get us back." Timmy looked at his watch and realised he didn't have 9 minutes left because the school time was 5 minutes faster which meant he had 4 minutes left! So they headed to the cave…

Chapter 4 - 3 Minutes Left

Timmy and Floss approached the mountain that the cave was in. It was small, dark and full of cobwebs in there, but the crystal is buried in the floor, a bit like a pirate treasure chest because it has an X over it.

When Timmy and Floss reached the cave they were both terrified. They were thinking about going back but then saw the dinosaur coming so stopped still. Eventually it walked past them.

Chapter 5 - 2 Minutes Left

The dinosaur started to head in another direction. Since he was standing on the X Timmy (how clever he was) threw a stone at him, so he headed out the cave. Unfortunately for him he missed and the stone bounced off the wall straight onto his head and he fainted….

Chapter 6 - Back Home

Eventually Timmy woke up he was at home, then he realised it had all been a dream! But a very fascinating dream though!

Camp Eden

Went to a brilliant war museum today. Camp Eden is not far from where we're staying and is the site of a 1940's prisoner of war camp. It's been converted into a museum. The kids really enjoyed it, genuine memorabilia from the original residents of the camp. Watched Ratatouille with the kids this afternoon, and going in the hot tub again later. We've had snow here today, and fog and it's really cold.

Trip to York...

Visited York today, was going to into York Dungeon but chickened out once we got to the door. Had lunch at Pizza Hut, and coffee in Starbucks (caramel macchiato, yum!). Now watching series 6 of 24 bought for me by my lovely wife.

Blackburn Rovers slash season ticket prices by 25%

This is awesome news, full credit to the Blackburn board for listening to fans and doing something about the problem of falling attendances. Prices are a big factor in falling attendances in my opinion, there are others including the lack of Saturday 3pm kick-off's and matches to suit TV schedules, but the biggest is price.

Blackburn Rovers | Breaking News | Latest: | SEASON TICKET PRICES REDUCED BY 25%

These reductions mean that I can now get my own ticket and one for my son for less than I previously paid for my own seat, fantastic news. I hope that the fans of Blackburn take note and show their support of the club, by making a season ticket purchase a high priority.

These reductions are also applicable to individual ticket prices, so if you're not into buying a season ticket you can still buy tickets for individual games and a permanently reduced price.

I had a boys day with Jake on yesterday (Saturday), Jake goes to football training every Saturday morning at the JJB Soccerdome in Blackburn, it's run by the Rovers Academy, he absolutely loves it and is definitely getting better.

Then we went to one of his friends parties at the local Brewsters, which was fun, then nipped into McDonalds for lunch before heading off to watch Blackburn today, sat in the Jack Walker stand level with the touchline. Blackburn played Sheffield Utd and won 2-1, match report from the BBC website is on this link... BBC/Sport/Football/PremLeague/MatchReports

David Dunn made a welcome return to the 1st team today, welcome back Dunny, you should never have left in the 1st place, but I'm pleased your back.

Today we're heading back to the Soccerdome again, Rebecca is going to one of her friends parties their, they have really good football parties (we've booked one for Jake's 6th birthday), other than that a quiet day.

ps. check out this link for a taste of something exciting happening next week. Coming Soon.

Great performance today in difficult conditions, we looked good going forward, defended quite well. Good to see Ryan Nelson back. Hope the defence can stay injury free, we need some stability.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Blackburn Rovers | Blackburn to lead price-cut call

At last, a voice of sanity amongst all the greedy club chairmen in the Premier League. It's an honourable thing to do, not sure others will attempt it. More likely the money will land in players & agents pockets.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Blackburn Rovers | Blackburn to lead price-cut call

And what about the other leagues, will they get an increase in TV money, NO! So any talent that might appear in this country will no doubt get snapped up by the likes of Man Utd & Chelsea's academies and disappear.

Rant over, good on ya John Williams.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Birmingham City | Dunn chooses Rovers over Bolton

Yeah! Welcome back Dunny. Once Blackburn declared their interest Bolton didn't stand a chance.

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Birmingham City | Blackburn try to hijack Dunn deal

Come on home Dunny...

After plenty of speculation since Rovers tabled a late bid last year for Dunn, it looks like they may finally have secured a return to Blackburn for him. If it comes off I'll be delighted for both the club & Dunny.

Welcome back, hopefully!

Google Calendar

For quite some time now I've been looking for ways to share my calendar with people, I wasn't impressed with the MSN & Yahoo ones, then Google released this one Google Calendar, sign up, load your data, (you can import from Outlook using a csv format export) and away you go. Then add the email addresses of people you want to share your calendar with.

Found this on a link from the BBC's website, it's an article about a homeless woman who's living out of a car. I find it utterly incredible that our social system allows a person to disappear like this.

What a day! Both my kids have had chicken pox in the last 2 weeks! Becks 2 weeks ago & now Jake. Poor little sod doesn't know what to do with himself. I only hope it doesn;t last too long, as he's really uncomfortable.

M6, what a joke! What kind of prat allows 3 sets of road works, all with contra-flows to be set-up on the 20 mile stretch from Lymm to Wigan. Just when you think the worst is over, you run into the next set, more often than not they all merge into one long traffic jam! Well over an hour to travel from the Thelwall Viaduct to the Wigan trun-off tonight. My return trip form Birmingham, usually takes about 2hours/2 hours 15mins, took over 3 hours tonight. Bloody sick of it. Piss poor planning on behalf of the highways agency. If they'd taken proper care of the highways on a regular basis over the last 15 years, this wouldn't happen.
Just read on the BBC's website that scientist's have determined the perfect formula to making tea! What about cures for cancer & HIV, surely they can find better things to do with they're time, and no doubt tax payer's money?

Hope this works, I've read about these but never really tried anything. So here we go.

Why does the sun always shine when I'm in the office, and why does it always rain when I'm not? Guess that's life! I can't wait for the football season to start, I know it's only just finished, but hey, I'm a guy! Sick to the back teeth of the Beckham saga, should he stay or should he go? I wish he'd just bugger off!
